As a Managing Director of Meridian Wealth Partners, I am focused on expanding the firm’s institutional business including non-profits, endowments, foundations, family offices, and large qualified retirement plans. Additionally, I plan to contribute to strengthening the firm’s investment capabilities, drawing on my extensive experience managing fixed income portfolios for both institutional and private clients.
With over 25 years in leadership roles across asset and wealth management, I previously served as Head of Municipal Fixed Income and Senior Portfolio Manager at Wilmington Trust. Before that, I was co-head of Fixed Income at Schroder Investment Management (an $800 billion global asset manager), where I also served on the firm’s Global Fixed Income and Management Committees.
After receiving a master’s in government administration (MGA) from the University of Pennsylvania and bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College, I began my career in public service with the State of Delaware. I ultimately served as Senior Policy Advisor to Governor Thomas R. Carper and as Deputy State Treasurer.
As an active member of the community, I serve on the boards of the Delaware Historical Society and the Delaware Zoological Society (Brandywine Zoo). My past appointments include the Diamond State Port Corporation, the Delaware 529 Investment Plan, and the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute.
I enjoy speaking and writing on investment topics, having presented at events hosted by the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the Financial Planning Association, and the Family Wealth Alliance. My insights have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron’s, The Bond Buyer, and The New York Times.
Currently I reside in Wilmington, Delaware with my wife and two daughters. Outside of work, I am an avid golfer, yoga enthusiast, and proud Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder.
