As the Managing Director at Meridian Wealth Partners, my primary responsibilities revolve around managing client relationships, overseeing investment portfolios, and ensuring the smooth operation of our firm. My expertise in financial planning and investment management has been the cornerstone of my career, which I have built over the past 35 years in the financial services industry. I am committed to mastering these disciplines and continually strive to learn and grow.
I started my academic journey in Finance by earning a BA in Economics from Ursinus College. I earned my Master of Taxation from Widener University while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers. I also hold the Certified Public Accountant® (CPA®) and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designations, which give me further skills to help serve my clients effectively. I started HJ Wealth Management in 2000 as part of a CPA firm to better serve clients. Back in 2000, we were at the forefront of offering financial planning. While the financial services industry was focused on selling investment products, we knew there was a better value proposition for clients through financial planning.
Helping people achieve their financial goals is a passion I share with my team. I find the greatest joy in working with clients who value and trust us with their goals, dreams and money. There's no greater reward than seeing clients reach their aspirations, and I believe the greatest value I provide is peace of mind.
Originally from Philadelphia, I now reside in Bayville, New Jersey, with my wife, Michelle, and our two sons, Gavin and Liam. Outside the office, I serve as an assistant scoutmaster in my sons' scout troop and am on the sports shooting committee for a Scout Camp. I am also a member of the Union League. Living by the water, my family and I enjoy all kinds of water sports, from wave runners to wakeboarding. In the colder months, we love snow skiing, and my sons and I indulge in sporting clays. Our vacations often take us to destinations near the water, where we can continue our love for aquatic adventures.
